INTERNATIONAL BALKAN RESEARCH ASSOCIATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN ISTANBUL


Istanbul Rumeli University in Istanbul hosted the 1st Balkan Studies WORKSHOP.   

A total of 25 academicians participated as representatives of the Balkan Research Centers, such as the Internatonal Vision University representing North Macedonia, Cluj University representing Romania, University of Sofia representing Bulgaria, University of Sarajevo representing Bosnia, University of Belgrade representing Serbia, as well as from Turkey: Trakya University, Kirklareli University, Ege University, Uludag University.  

It was brought a decision that in the future, to hold these Workshops every two years in a different Balkan country. 

The International Balkan Studies Association was also established.  

The International Vision University became a founding member of the International Balkan Studies Association.
