Prof. Fadil HOCA, PhD



Professor Fadil HOCA, PhD was born in 1963, in Gostivar, in the Republic of North Macedonia. He graduated at the Faculty of Philology in Skopje. He received his Master Degree in Social Sciences at the Istanbul University in Republic of Turkey and PhD at the “St. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje, North Macedonia. Since the early beginning of his professional development, he is the member of the academic community of the same institution. During 2000-2004 he was president at the center for Culture and Education “ADEKSAM”.

In the period 2004-2008 he was the president of MATUSITEB (Union of Turkish NGOs in RNM). He was the general editor of the International Refereed Scientific Research Journal HIKMET from 2009 to 2019, which is still being published in three languages (Turkish, Macedonian, English), and also a member of scientific boards of several international academic journals abroad. He has three published books and over 60 articles published both in domestic and international journals in different languages. He is one of the founding members of the Foundation for Science, Culture and Art “Shar Vardar”.

He was elected as Academician of the year 2003 by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia.

In 2014, has was awarded for the Turkish World Culture Service by the Turkish National Culture Research Institution Service

In 2015 in Kosovo, Prizren, he was also awarded for the “International Turkish Culture Service”.

He is elected and engaged as the president of the Association of the Southeast European Universities (ACEU) in the 2019-2020.
